Since 1948, the Maritime Museum located in San Diego

has served the city in numerous big ways. The museum here

is committed to gathering and preserving the rich

maritime heritage and historical worths of the city –

then providing it to the general public.

The greatest tourist attraction to the museum is
the historical
ships. Here, you’ll find five excellent examples of

maritime vessels – Berkeley, Californian, Medea,

Pilot, and the Star of India.

All across the museum you can find lots of examples of

Naval innovation and ships of the past. The guides

at the Maritime Museum are extremely friendly and practical,

happy to answer any concern that you may have.

Close-by to the museum, you have numerous tourist attractions

and things to see. With the museum remaining in the

downtown area of San Diego, it’s extremely close to some

of the other things that San Diego is so very well

known for.

If you happen to be on holiday in San Diego, make

sure you visit the Maritime Museum. Kids enjoy to

see the ships on display, along with the USS Midway

Attack aircraft carrier Museum, which is a brief walk from

the Maritime Museum.
